William Matthew Prior (American 1806-1873). The sitters are Pardon
(b. Freetown, Mass. 1758-) and Ruth Harrison (b. Newport, RI Jan.
30, 1769) Brightman. Pardon and Ruth Harrison Brightman were married
Nov. 17, 1796. These portraits were recently discovered along with
the child portrait (by Prior) of Benjamin Earl in an early home in
Westport, Massachusetts. Each of the Brightman portraits measure 14"
by 10". Oil on paperboard. Full provenance available to buyer. |

William Matthew Prior (American 1806-1873). A beautiful
child in blue dress holding a red book. The sitter is identified on
the paper backing as B. Earl from Fall River, Mass. Benjamin Earl
was born in Swansey, Massachusetts on May 11, 1822. This portrait
was recently discovered along with the Brightman (by
Prior) portraits in an early home in Westport, Massachusetts.
Measures 13" by 11 1/2". Oil on paperboard. Full provenance
available to buyer. |

(American 1869-1955) Watercolor in original frame with original
exhibition labels. UNTOUCHED condition. Measures 13 1/2" by 19
1/2" (sight). Recently found in a Central Maine farmhouse. Signed

Sack Back Windsor Highchair attributed to Stephen Tracy of Lisbon
Township, Connecticut. Ca. 1805. For a nearly identical
example please reference "American Windsor Furniture - Special
Forms" by Nancy Goyne Evans ( pg.155 fig.2-25 ). Old refinish with
loss to right arm grip. Found in the same Coastal Maine home as the
afore mentioned Eb Tracy armchair. |

Freshly discovered and untouched "Mrs. Atkins
Instructress" sampler. Found recently in the Bangor, Maine area.
Measures 14" by 17 1/2" (sight). Period and likely original frame.
