An 18th Century BOSTON RARITY in ORIGINAL
FINISH. This Queen
Anne mahogany kettle or urn stand
was originally the property of a well documented
Boston patriot who was a close friend of both Paul Revere and John
Hancock. The
provenance will be available to the buyer. A nearly identical
stand is referenced and pictured in The Furniture of Historic
Deerfield by Dean A. Fales Jr. (page 160). Mr. Fales says of the
stand "the small |
example to the left is most important in that it's
trefoil top relates to the glorious turret top tables that were
made in Boston". This stand measures 17 1/2" tall with the top
measuring 9". It is made of mahogany throughout. The stand dates
from 1745 to 1765. |

1853-1889). Signed lower left "Harry Chase 76". Titled, signed
and dated verso "On the Beach" Danish Coast Harry Chase 1876.
Oil on canvas. Original labeled Stinson (Boston) frame. Painting
measures 20" by 36" (sight). Condition of both painting and frame
is SUPERB and UNTOUCHED

Freshly
discovered, matched pair of continuous arm bowback Windsor chairs that
were originally found in the historic Pease Tavern in Shrewsbury,
Massachusetts. Likely descended from Captain Levi Pease, who was the
original owner of the tavern and also known to be the "father of the U.
S. Mail Stagecoaches". The chairs surfaces and structure are untouched. |

James Bragdon (York, Maine) of the 1st Maine Militia. This books
interestingly spans from 1814 (Mass. militia) to 1830 and includes the
changes due to Maine Statehood in 1820. This is one of several
important First Maine Militia documents to be sold as a lot. |
